Dr. George Winternheimer, D.C.
Dr. George Winternheimer, D.C is a Chiropractor at the Illinois Back Institute. He received a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. He has been practicing the art and science of chiropractic since. After running his own chiropractic clinic he was excited to join the team at the Illinois Back Institute.

Dr. James Dean, D.C.
Dr. James Dean is currently a Chiropractic physician at the Illinois Back Institute in the Orland Park clinic. He joined the Illinois Back Institute with superlative experience after selling his successful practice of 31 years.
Dr. Dean received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1979. After graduating and receiving his license to practice as a Chiropractic Physician, he continued as a teaching clinician at the National College of Chiropractic's Inpatient and Outpatient Clinic for 3 years.
He has specialized training in spinal biomechanics and therapeutic exercise, attaining the title of Fellow of Applied Spinal Biomechanical Engineering. He trained for and has done manipulation under anesthesia and is also registered in diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Dean has been a high school football team doctor and participated on the medical team in numerous running events. He has also contributed to and did editing for a Physical Therapy textbook.
Dr. Dean served in the U.S. Army. He has enjoyed being involved with his church, his local Lions Club and his family. He stays busy with his 4 children and 10 grandchildren.

Dr. Daniel Johnson, D.C
Dr. Daniel Johnson was born and raised in Chicago grew up in the Back of the Yards, Little Village, and Pilsen neighborhoods. After graduating from Benito Juarez High School he joined the armed forces and served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman.
Upon fulfilling his obligation in the Navy, Dr. Johnson attended The University of Illinois at Chicago and obtained his B.S. in Biochemistry. He then graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in 2001 and began practicing in the Chicagoland area, working predominately in a multi-disciplinary setting treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions alongside medical doctors and physical therapists. He currently works in our Berwyn Clinic
Dr. Aaron Schreiber, D.C.
Dr. Aaron Schreiber, D.C. is part of the clinical team at Illinois Back Institute’s Wilmette location. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine and biology at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Upon graduating, Dr. Schreiber enrolled at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, where he earned his chiropractic degree.
The chiropractic school’s focus on evidence-based medicine helped prepare him to be part of Illinois Back Institute’s leading research and progressive practice model, focused on best clinical practices and patient-centered outcomes. To continue his professional learning, Dr. Schreiber consistently reviews the latest in chiropractic medicine. He is a member of both the American Chiropractic Association and the Illinois Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Adam Macek, D.C.
Dr. Adam Macek, D.C. currently works as a Chiropractor at the Naperville Clinic. He has studied extensively the bio-mechanics of the spine, along with the treatment of sports injuries. Dr. Macek received his undergraduate degree in Heath Sciences from Purdue University in 2007. He has successfully completed Parts I,II, III, & IV boards, administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and he completed his degree in Chiropractic Medicine in 2010 from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL.
Dr. Macek lives in Oswego with his wife and they will be expecting their first child in February 2017. Dr. Macek is also a certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute, and he enjoys playing golf and soccer in addition to being active in Crossfit.
Dr. Chad D. Hedges, M.S., D.C.
Dr. Chad D. Hedges, M.S., D.C. currently works as a Chiropractic Physician at the Wheaton clinic. He has studied extensively in the areas of sports medicine, biomechanical analysis, motion palpation, manual physical medicine and spinal rehabilitation. Dr. Hedges’ expertise coupled with the Illinois Back Institutes scientifically proven Functional Disc Stabilization protocol allows his patients to achieve unparalleled outcomes for spinal conditions once considered untreatable by conservative measures.
Dr. Hedges holds two professional degrees; a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine (DC) from National University of Health Sciences and a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine (M.S.) from the University of Western States. Dr. Hedges lives in Wheaton with his wife and two children. He enjoys watching various sports and golfing with his son.
Dr. Michelle Perisic, D.C.
Dr. Michelle Perisic is the lead chiropractic physician at Illinois Back Institute in Orland Park. A native of Orland Park herself, she graduated from Carl Sandburg High School with honors in 2005, and furthered her studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating Cum Laude and with High Departmental Distinction in 2009.
During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Perisic knew she wanted to pursue a career in preventative healthcare, and therefore began studies at National University of Health Sciences in 2011. Her exceptional scholastic achievements led her to graduate Summa Cum Laude and as Valedictorian of her class. She was bestowed a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2015. Dr. Perisic has successfully completed Parts I, II, III, IV and Physiotherapy board examinations administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
While pursuing her doctoral degree in chiropractic medicine, Dr. Perisic also trained in McKenzie Method, Webster Technique for pregnancy, and attained certification in acupuncture. Dr. Perisic continues to expand her knowledge of chiropractic in the fields of pregnancy, pediatric populations and sports rehabilitation.
She is fluent in Croatian, Serbian, and Spanish and enjoys learning about new cultures, spending time with family and friends, running, traveling, reading and writing are some of her favorite hobbies.
